Claude Monet, the master of brushstrokes and light, was a French painter and founder of the Impressionist art style. He orchestrated symphonies of color on canvas, mostly Interested in painting in the open air (En Plein Air) and capturing natural light. Monet would later bring the technique to one of its most famous series of paintings, in which he observed the same subject, viewed at different times of the day. Monet has inspired generations of artists with his innovative techniques and deduction to capturing the natural beauty of the natural world. This week, we will be creating our own painting inspired by Monet’s “Water Lilies” series.
