Classes Of The Week 9/4: Ted Harrison | Dragonfly Coaster or Tile | Bruno Mars
Art:
Ted Harrison (Oil Pastel)
Ted Harrison’s artwork is known for its bold use of color and lively simplified forms. His style is characterized by the use of vivid, non-naturalistic colors and sweeping lines that convey a sense of movement and energy. His compositions often feature large, flat areas of color and stylized, that emphasize the dramatic contrasts of the northern landscape. Harrison’s paintings often portray dramatic natural features, such as the Northern Lights, and elements of local culture, including traditional clothing and community life.
Through his art, Harrison aimed to celebrate and preserve the cultural heritage and natural beauty. This week, our students will be inspired by his love of nature and bold colors by creating an oil pastel artwork.
