This lesson is inspired by the summer season, as we make our own drawing inspired by O’Keefe’s observations of seashells!

Let’s create a purr-fect cat-shaped plate that will be a great keepsake for your little things like jewelry and keys. Our students will learn how to make this animal plate by combining a clay cookie rolled out with a rolling pin, coils for the rim, and cookie cutter shapes for the head, paws, and tail. Finally, they’ll finish off their plate with hand-painted glazes.
